About UsNAIOPVA Northern VirginiaNAIOP Northern Virginia, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, was chartered in 1980 by a group of commercial real estate owners and developers with interests in the counties of Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun and Prince William and the city of Alexandria. Currently there are approximately 800 members, making it one of the largest NAIOP chapters in the United States. Governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee, which is elected annually, NAIOP's professional staff is located in Alexandria, Virginia. The association offers a full complement of services for its membership, including monthly programs, an annual bus tour, an annual awards program, annual and mid-year real estate forecasts, a Developing Leaders program, and legislative involvement at the state and local levels. The association's mission is to enhance the Northern Virginia commercial real estate community by: advancing the professional and industrial standards; enhancing image and public perception of the industry; maintaining an effective government action plan; positively impacting the environmental, social, and economic quality of life in Northern Virginia; and sharing professional ideas for growth and greater understanding.
