Projects:

Project must involve commercial real estate located in the Richmond, Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Project must be completed between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Online nomination form must be submitted by February 10, 2012, although GRACRE reserves the right to extend the nominations deadline. Winners will be announced at the April 17, 2012 GRACRE Real Awards at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.

Finalists and winners will be chosen based upon:

• uniqueness of project and innovation
• quality of construction
• complexity of design
• overall success of project
• solutions to challenges faced in design, zoning, construction, budget, etc.
• economic impact on community

Winners will be chosen by a panel of leaders from GRACRE member firms. Past categories have included: Best Commercial/Retail Project; Best Institutional/Public Project; Best Interior Project; Best Multi-Family Project; Best Office Project; Best R&D/Flex/Industrial Project; Best Recreation/Entertainment/Hospitality Project; Best Renovation or Historic Rehabilitation Project; and Best Sustainable Design Project. GRACRE reserves the right to select (i) the award categories and (ii) the category or categories within which each project may be placed.

Incomplete entries may be rejected.

Transactions (Sale/Purchase of the Year; Lease of the Year):

Transaction must involve commercial real estate located in the Richmond, Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Transaction must be completed (i.e., sale/purchase closed; lease executed) between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Transaction must involve a buyer, seller, landlord, tenant, and/or broker based in the Richmond, Virginia MSA. Online nomination form must be submitted by February 10, 2012, although GRACRE reserves the right to extend the nominations deadline. Winners will be announced at the April 17, 2012 GRACRE Real Awards at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Incomplete entries may be rejected.
