With the commercial real estate market starving for credit, what is the outlook in 2010 for real estate developers and investors? Join GRACRE on Tuesday, March 16th at the Country Club of Virginia as three dynamic speakers explore the finance market. The panel includes:

John C. Richards, Jr. is Director of Capital Markets for Hampton Roads and Richmond, CBRE/Melody, CB Richard Ellis’ real estate banking subsidiary. Richards has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience and is a Director of the Norfolk office of CBRE/Melody. His responsibilities include managing the loan origination business in Norfolk and Richmond Markets. He will provide an overview of the credit markets, what’s going on right now and what we can possibly anticipate.
J. Bolling Lewis, III, is Senior Vice President with Wells Fargo and heads the middle market lending group. A banking veteran with over 24 years of experience, Bolling and his group originate commercial real estate loans for local private developers and investors throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.

Andrew Little is a principal and an investment banker with John B. Levy & Company, a real estate banking firm that offers a wide variety of financial, investment and advisory services for complex real estate ventures. Little has been interviewed by a number of media outlets including Fox Financial News and is a columnist for the Richmond Times Dispatch.

On Wednesday evening, April 21st, the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) will reveal the area’s brightest real estate stars at the Ninth Annual Real Estate Stars 2010 Awards Gala. The signature event will be held at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, 8800 Lakeside Avenue, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This year’s awards program, which has become the pre-eminent event honoring outstanding real estate projects in the Metropolitan Richmond region, will announce one winner in each of 11 award categories. One project will garner the top honor as the 2010 Project of the Year. Lucy Meade, Venture Richmond, will be the mistress of ceremonies.
